Nina (2016)

Nina Simone (Zoe Saldana) gets out of bed nude but with a blanket covering her. She walks outside and turns around, flashing her bare buttocks.

Nina slices a man's arm with a knife. It is very shocking as it comes out of nowhere. Not much else though, aside from some verbally abusive fights. (Nina curses frequently and snaps at others when she is drunk.)

A dozen or so F bombs, with other milder words. A pre-teenager(11-12) could handle the profanity.

Nina struggles with alcohol addiction throughout the movie.

The knife scene, and the turmoil of Nina's drunkenness. Not much else.
