A girl is caught by slave traders, they talk about having a 'good time with her' and grab her clothes. Before they are able to rip them off, someone interrupts them.

Under an evil spell, a character stabs his father with a sword, killing him. A small pool of blood is briefly seen oozing from the wound after he falls to the ground.

A villain's arm is cut off; showing the bone, but no blood.

There is a very addictive narcotic offered to Arren, with the lie that it will soothe his sorrows. After Sparrow-Hawk, tells him to decline, he shows him the effects that it has given other users; an initial intense euphoria, then killing them after only a few doses. It is always cast in a negative light.

Arren has a dream in which oil oozes from the ground. He frantically wades through the oil to his friend who appears friendly at first, but then turns to an evil looking monster before turning back into oil. Arren tries to run away, fails, and it is implied that he drowns. Arren then wakes up. The scene is quite intense and disturbing for younger viewers.
