Het ravijn (2005)

The 53-year-old Max is hit by a brain haemorrhage. He arrives at the hospital again. He can not pee, not walk, and he talks badly. The shame and anger about his circumstances almost cost him the relationship with his much younger wife. May sound like the disease-of-the-week-movie of the commercialists, but in reality is a refreshingly unsentimental film about the pain and confusion of someone who has been struck by a stroke.
