Le jardin des autres roses (2000)

Geneva 2008, Dan is a young hacker. He is in love with Ane, a mysterious and beautiful girl. The only trouble is that Dan knows Ane only through EuropaNet, the virtual network which enables fully immersion of the senses. The day when Dan can no longer connect with Ane, he suspects that his bandwidth is too low to reach her network. Starts then for Dan a race for more bandwidth and higher technology, which turns into a race for power and madness.
