Monsieur Étienne (2005)

An old man who spent his life arbitrating the arguments of his two best friends finds himself on the way to their funerals. Incapable of choosing between the two processions, he undertakes a long and contemplative walk, during which he realizes that it might not be just about accompanying them, but that it might actually be about time for him to join them.
