The mountain farmers of Ushguli attempt to keep the modern world at bay so that their sons might remain to farm the land. Meanwhile further north Islam is conquering communism. Off the shores of Azerbaijan working the oil rig is still one of the highest paid jobs, and at the old holiday resorts on the Black Sea the blind cast their minds back to the good old days of communism.
