Le sang des tropiques (1983)

Jean, a medical student, leaves for Ecuador to find Mariane, a doctor without borders, who has left to treat the underprivileged in the villages. Before being able to find her, Jean will live in filth, prostitution, misery, delinquent children wandering in the streets, flying to survive. When he finds Mariane, she has changed. It is, incidentally, at the heart of blood trafficking, the blood that the poor sell for some money. A network that she will try to dismantle and that will plunge her into an inextricable political intrigue.
