Action Crime Drama

When a Yakuza boss named Anjo disappears with 300 million yen, his chief henchman, a sadomasochistic man named Kakihara, and the rest of his mob goons go looking for him. After capturing and torturing a rival Yakuza member looking for answers, they soon realize they have the wrong man and begin looking for the man named Jijii who tipped them off in the first place. Soon enough Kakihara and his men encounter Ichi, a psychotic, sexually-repressed young man with amazing martial arts abilities and blades that come out of his shoes. One by one Ichi takes out members of the Yakuza and all the while Kakihara intensifies his pursuit of Ichi and Ichi's controller Jijii. What will happen as the final showdown happens between the tortured and ultra-violent Ichi and the pain-craving Kakihara?

A torture scene involving a woman having her fingers chopped off

A man violently beats up a woman. He is sliced down the middle by a third party who also kills the woman (much blood and gore).

This is an extremely violence-packed movie.

Guts, matter, and dead bodies are seen lying about in a room for many seconds. There is little detail.

A room of Yakuza are killed in an over-the-top manner offscreen. Blood spurts wildly out the door for a few seconds. We see a man's sliced-off face sliding down a wall for several seconds. Then a man's bloody hand and some guts are around the door for a few seconds.

A blood-splattered room containing a dead, face-down Yakuza is seen, guts and organs are visible shortly.

A man is shot in the thigh with a brief blood spurt. The shooter's throat is slit as a result with blood squirting for many seconds.

The skin on a man's hand is bitten off with brief, but bloody results. A few needles are later stuck in his face with some blood trickling.

A man's upper arm is ripped off, the stump and removed limb are visible shortly. The attacker is later dead in a small pool of blood (brief).

A woman's lower leg is sliced off. Her neck is then sliced, blood sprays for several seconds, covering her chest.

A woman's neck is accidentally sliced. Blood sprays from the wound for several seconds, covering part of her chest.

Several needles are stuck into a dead man's face with blood dripping down. Shown for a few seconds.

A man hanging from hooks into his skin has a needle pierced through and pulled out of his cheek and chin. Boiling oil is then poured on his back and his pectoral is pierced with a needle. Blood drips from the wounds.

A man's face is pulled at, we see a line of blood before it continues for a bit offscreen.

The hair of a little boy's severed head is briefly shown, he died as a result of repeatedly kicking another man in a small pool of blood.

A villain falls to his death, his head is later seen in a pool of blood for several seconds.

A man violently kicks a woman multiple times offscreen in a fit of rage. She is later seen dead shortly.

A shady woman has the four fingers on her left hand snapped all at once (brief).

A man's foot is stabbed with a needle, he walks with a limp for a bit. A man's head is briefly twisted, he lies dead later.

A villain inserts a long needle inside his own ears, it is shown inside the canal for several seconds before hitting the eardrum.

A man is beaten briefly before the attacker is stopped, a trickle of blood is on his mouth. A villain is punched around the face at his request, no sight of blood. A kid bully is kicked once in the stomach. A couple of bloodless, but violent blows.
