Bahay kubo, kahit munti (1968)

A Romeo and Juliet-style comedy film. Two feuding families won't get along well forever due to the social divide - one family is lower middle class and one family is poor living a simple life but their children are not only friendly but are falling in love with each other. The wacky, hilarious mixed-up is shown with the Bahay Kubo (nipa hut house) as the centerpiece of the film, and the Bayanihan spirit, a beautiful old Filipino trait is featured prominently.
