In early-1820s central Epirus, as the Revolution against the tyrannical Ottoman Empire rages on, the Souliotes, the brave inhabitants of the rugged and mountainous region of Souli, fight tooth and nail to stand their ground. Now, the murderous Ali Pasha, blind with rage, readies his multitudes of soldiers for deployment, bent on conquering their land. As a result, against the backdrop of a dangerous love affair between the orphaned female fighter, Vaggeli, and the courageous warlord, Kogas Drakos, disgraceful treason will bring the enemy at the gates. But, do heroes fear death?
