Aris (1983)

Emilia is a single, middle-aged woman. Her parents constantly accuse her of not being married. To get rid of the reproaches, she lies to them that she had a fiance from Greece, who died there during the junta. She even shows them a picture of a handsome man. (The photo was stolen by a casting agency.) Parents are very fond of the "dead man" and give him great respect. They arrange funerals, hold a memorial service - When Emilia finally meets a real man, her parents disapprove. They force her to break up with him.
