Souffle d'ailleurs (1999)

Matthias, a timid Swiss-German participates in an exchange program that brings him to a host family in Quebec for the summer. While struggling with culture shock, Matthias develops a competitive friendship with his host brother Christian and falls in love with a cute local girl. Finally feeling confident in his new environment, Matthias doesn't want to go back to Switzerland.
