Soldier on Leave (1990)

Sung-ju enlists in the army after failing to enter a prestigious university and pleasing her overbearing mother. One day, while on leave, she spies her younger sister and boyfriend entering a nightclub together. She confronts her boyfriend and, despite his declarations of true love, she breaks up with him, throwing herself into the training of new cadets.
