Dely Magpayo, one of the popular radio personalities in the 50s and 60s, dubbed as Dorothy Dix of the Philippines , was considered counselor par excellence, because of her program, TIYA DELY. The secret of her success lies in the fact that she had helped many people solve their domestic and personal problems. So popular was her TIYA DELY radio drama serial, it was made into a major movie by Larry Santiago Productions in 1958 titled MGA LIHAM KAY TIYA DELY.
