Sofia at the end of the Second World War. A singer in a bar and her orchestra-a trumpeter, clarinetist, and saxophonist-became unintentional witnesses to a murder against a fascist prosecutor. They are arrested and tortured. The clarinetist is dying. The others rethink their existence.
