A Hippy in Sandals (1970)

To escape poverty and the uneventful village life, Kitsos leaves everything behind, determined to create a better future for himself in Athens, Greece. On his way to the bustling capital, Kitsos has a chance encounter with a group of hippies and saves Helen, a damsel in distress. However, Helen is more than a free-spirited hippy; she's the only daughter of struggling industrialist Pelopidas, who has arranged to marry her off to ripe but wealthy Casanova, Ermis Razis. As one thing leads to another, Kitsos becomes Helen's guardian angel and a tender relationship forms. But Ermis is not willing to lose Helen. Does Kitsos, the hippie in sandals, stand a chance?
