The Middle Ages. The two villages are constantly at war with each other. The shoemaker begins to repair the shoes of all the peasants from the two villages. He wants to be paid in kind - with sabers and swords. When the feud broke out again, it turned out that the peasants had nothing to fight - the shoemaker took all their sabers and swords.
