An estimated 14 million children have been orphaned by AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa. Giving faces and stories to this grim statistic, filmmaker Miles Roston presents interviews with five children from Kenya and Malawi who are making their way largely on their own, following the death of their parents. Each is seen trying to cope with incredible hardship and adverse societal pressures in what is a moving and inspiring tribute to human resilience and to the rare adults who have devoted their lives to help these children achieve their dreams.
