Maitre André (Bendt Rothe) and Clavaroche (Poul Reichhardt) are both victorious men, on their careers as well as on the battlefields of love. Both, however, have settled so well into safety that they have become blind to any danger that might still lurk. Least of all they believe it to come from a younger, more inexperienced generation.
