Il piacere e il mistero (1964)

This documentary gives account of the different religions in Asia and leads us from the Gange banks where the ancient Hindu rites are celebrated to the isle of Sri Lanka. Then to Thailand where the difference between the ceremonies observed in the remotest areas of the country and the ones taking place in the Bangkok temples can be seen; finally Malaya reveals the opium-addicts sight in Singapore, strongly contrasting with the still existing ancestral religious rituals.
