Lost Dreams (1961)

As fresh as a daisy, Kostas Labiris, an ambitious and self-confident author, becomes the new employee of a small company that sells spools of thread. Likewise, Liza Zeriga, the pampered daughter of a failed industrialist, lands a job as a typist at the same firm. Of course, both happy-go-lucky dreamers see this job as a stepping stone to a brighter future. However, life is as exciting as it is unpredictable. As a result, as the weeks turn into months, which turn into years, a seemingly interminable succession of joys and sorrows transforms Kostas and Lizas' zealous aspirations into bitter disappointment. Now, the incurable optimists flirt with utter defeat. But what is the cost of a lost dream?
