The documentary was shot at the Jari Project - a multinational enclave between the Brazilian state of Pará and what was then called the Federal Territory of Amapá - when a Parliamentary Inquiry Commission on the deforestation of the Amazon visited the place. Jari is the largest tract of land in the Amazon (and probably of the world) belonging to a single owner, American billionaire Daniel Keith Ludwig.
