Charlie (Jim Carrey) is a Rhode Island state trooper with multiple profiles. He is otherwise mild-mannered and non-confrontational until somebody or something pushes him a little too far. That's when his maniacal alter-ego Hank takes over. Charlie is assigned to a routine mission to return alleged fugitive Irene (Renée Zellweger) to upstate New York, but they wind up on the run from corrupt policemen.

Parent Guide

In a pharmacy, female hygiene products are shown, a character makes a crude joke to a woman about using "Vagi-clean".

There are lots of crude and sexual humor/jokes that is present in this film such as when a man pulls down his zipper and loudly asks if anyone wants to see his "weasel." He then runs around with his hands at his crotch (with everyone reacting to the sight of his genitals - that we don't see). He then adds, "Free hotdogs, all you can eat...get your foot-long and a bag of nuts."

A man and a woman have sex and she uses a phallic object on him (implied anal sex); this scene is referred to a few times throughout the movie, with the man talking about soreness. In two scenes, we see a couple post-coitus asleep in bed with covers up to his bare chest and her bare shoulders.

Hank buys supplies for him and Irene and we later see that this includes a bottle of booze and a large, flexible dildo.

Irene sees a bulge growing down the length of Hank's pants leg and then sees it lifting up his leg (an erection joke) as he leers at her.

There are some butt-jokes where one scene is with a man who is forced having a chicken stuck on his anus (he yells).

An old TV special featuring a standup performance by Richard Pryor shows him grabbing his own clothed crotch during a routine.

We see a man in his briefs and a man's naked backside twice (once during a "mooning" incident and once with a live chicken stuck inside his behind).

Hank spots a Beautiful Mom who is breast-feeding her infant on a bench, and before she knows it, he latches onto her right-nipple, exaggeratedly suckling and tugging on it with his mouth like a toddler (visible areola), she had an outraged but orgasmic reaction from this. The scene then cuts to Hank driving away with a "breastmilk mustache."

A man pushes a child and sucks a woman's breast. We don't see the nipple but we ese him chugging the milk out of her which makes his milk mustache.

During the closing credits, we see a still photo of a man's bare butt (non-sexual).

Some sexual innuendo (including references to masturbation, anal sex and sex with machinery) and a few kissing scenes (one with french kissing).

A man describes using a phallic object on a woman; we also see a phallic object in a few scenes.

A man with a sheet up to his bare waist lies in bed and has a woman's picture next to him, along with a bottle of hand lotion and many used tissues (obviously having masturbated earlier).

A man puts his hands on a woman's clothed breasts.

A man grabs a male officer behind his back and beats him (shown offscreen).

A man holds a little girl's head under the water in a fountain, drowning her as a punishment for disobeying him.

An irate and dwarf limo driver hits a man with a set of nunchukas, the man then slaps him in his face causing him to be more aggressive.

There are all sorts of bugs smashed on a state trooper's face and teeth as he rides on his motorcycle and all the bugs buzz and splat on his face.

A man vandalizes a handicapped car, empties a trashcan, urinates, smashes the windshield and tears the headrests.

A man is captured and handcuffed to a tree where a chicken is stuck in his anus.

A man who tries arresting a man gets punched on the face hard.

A man fights his split personality in a car, he bangs his head on the wheel, pushes himself out of the car and chases the car and hops back.

A woman falls in a river and hits her head on a rock underwater.

A man's thumb is shot off we see his thumb stump and it falls to a river where a fish gulps it (blood sprays and spurts from his hand).

A thug hits a woman, goes to a house shoots a man in the chest (blood spurts)

A man is kicked in the face by a woman sending him backwards on a hill, (he has a neck brace and chin bandage).

A man hits a man in the face with a gun, a woman hits him in the head with a helmet and then the man punches him and sits on him.

A man and woman find a sick and lying cow on a road then they shoot the cow many times then beats it with the cow mooing (still alive)

A man is zapped by ballplayers after the man tries to fight them

A man on a train with a gun has his hand knocked on a window, punched and the other man strikes him causing a woman to hit him with a dildo.

A man fights his split personality, tripping himself, hits and pushes, bending his finger, forces himself on a window and spits on himself.

Two men fire guns at a subway, a man is chased and the gunman shoots him in the arm (he yelps and we see a tiny flesh wound on his shoulder).

A man has a lawn dart thrown on his back (blood spurts and he dies)
