More of a Man (1991)

The film tells the story of a young man struggling against the Catholic Church's prohibitions of his homosexual desires and portrays the furtive and sometimes degrading ways he gives in to them. Eventually with the counsel of a drag queen (played by LaRue) whom he meets at a local bar, he achieves sexual self-acceptance and has a liberating sexual experience with an AIDS activist during the annual gay pride parade.
