A plane which is considered lost has actually been forced to land in the middle of the African bush:five among the passengers have survived:Myriam,the governor's daughter ;her friend Helene who's seriously injured ;Fred ,a safari guide and his client,a wealthy financier ; a famous crooner ,Bob Ballart . The survivors realize that the only way to escape from death is to walk across the forest ,Helene on a shaft.Their progress is slow and painful,feeding on game .They reach a pygmies village..
