Oi enohoi (1966)

On a dark and rain-soaked night of December, under the piercing and terrible sound of the siren's wail, a desperate woman, Christina, seeks solace at a nearby chapel, on the eve of the full-scale Nazi German invasion in Greece. Only in confession and in compassionate Father Grigoris' open arms may Christina find comfort; however, hers is a horrible crime, and the burden is insufferable. Bound by confession's unbreakable law of silence, the humble military chaplain must forever keep in secret Christina's confidential, yet startling disclosure, as the despicable deed sets in motion an inextricable chain of destructive events. But, love is even more powerful than the omnipotent death, and an innocent with blood-stained hands sacrifices himself for the sins of others. Can there be redemption for the guilty?
