Premutos' reputation as being toe-to-toe with Braindead definitely has some merit, and this should serve as indication of what to expect.
The film's climax is a twenty-or-so minute fight for survival against hordes of zombie. This is where a large portion of the violence occurs. Included in the sequence are several shots of exploding heads, dismemberment with a chainsaw, bodies being riddled with gunshots (and of various calibers, at that),torsos being struck with an axe, and a grotesque body transformation. None of these instances are obscured, all are graphic, and the camera always lingers on the aftermath.
A man's penis is wholly ripped off. The act takes barely a second, and it is mostly just the resulting stump that is shown. Graphic, but as stated, quick.
Lots of body horror, a la 'Hellraiser.' A man who gets critically injured is crawling away from the camera, with his back towards the audience. He suddenly turns around, revealing a now demonic countenance. During all of this he is covered in bloody gashes.
There is a disgusting and peculiar scene of a man picking his nose, rolling the mucus into a ball and flicking it towards a woman; it lands in her mouth.
There is dismemberment by sword. The resulting viscera is always shown.
A woman, supposedly possessed, is burned alive. More disturbing than graphic.
Several of the movie's monsters are killed with fire from a tank. Sometimes this isn't gory, as it only results in bodies flying up into the air. Sometimes, though, bodies are shown being blown to pieces. When this happens it is certainly more graphic.
