Action Adventure Thriller

James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is back. After an oil tycoon is murdered in MI6's headquarters, Bond is sent to protect his daughter. Renard (Robert Carlyle), who had a bullet lodged in his brain by a previous Agent, is secretly planning the destruction of a pipeline. Bond gains a hand from research scientist Dr. Christmas Jones (Denise Richards), who witnesses the action which happens when Bond meets up with Renard, but Bond becomes suspicious of Elektra King (Sophie Marceau), especially when Bond's boss, M (Dame Judi Dench), goes missing. Bond must work quickly to prevent Renard from destroying Europe.

Parent Guide

Bond knocks down one man and grabs a gun, shooting several other men in a room. He finds another man, who is shot by an unknown sniper.

There's a long and destructive boat chase near the beginning, and a small dock is destroyed. One boat crashes through another boat which ignites some gas cans resulting in an explosion. Bond's boat crashes through city streets, destroying several shops and objects. His target's boat crashes but she scares, commandeering a hot air balloon. Bond jumps on the bottom, but she shoots the gas tank, blowing up the balloon, and Bond falls and lands on a tent, rolling down.

A man's neck, wrists and ankles are locked into a torture device and a small bar is cranked into the back of his neck.

A man purposely punches his hand through a table and a woman pulls a shard of glass from his bloody knuckles.

A man forces another to hold an extremely hot rock.

A man squeezes another's injured arm.

A man hits another with a gun (he gets a bloody cut on his forehead).

A man uses another's head as a battering ram (we see some bloody cuts on his forehead).

A group of men arrive at an island and shoot several men when they get there. Gunshots can be heard, and a few people can be seen getting shot.

Bond kicks a man in the face and shoots him. He then dumps his body inside a small machine to hide it.

A bomb explodes inside a crowded building, and one man is killed offscreen.

There's a long shootout in a silo, and several people are shot dead, with lots of destruction and heavy gunfire present. A bomb is detonated, and Bond and a woman escape as it explodes.

There's a long ski chase, and several snowmobiles on parachutes launch grenades at Bond and a woman, with large explosions. One crashes into a tree and explodes, a few others crash, and Bond manages to make two crash into each other.

Renard shoots a man point blank.

There's a large shootout at a warehouse on docks when helicopters with large buzzsaws attached attack, slicing up the warehouse. There's much destruction, and men in the copters fire at Bond and he shoots back. Bond uses his car and blows one copter up with a missile, but his car is destroyed, but he manages to blow up the others. He then shoots a few more attackers.

There's a large explosion, and a man and woman run for cover. One man has bloody facial cuts and a bloody cut on his hand after the explosion.

We see a man with a gunshot wound scar on his forehead and learn that the bullet is still in his brain.

A bomb explodes inside a pipeline, resulting in a large explosion.

Bond knocks a man out offscreen, and the man's unconscious body is seen.

A woman slaps another woman.

A man closes the hatch on a submarine, but Bond opens it and kicks him in the head.

PG-13 violence type: blood and brutal.

A woman fires a machine gun at Bond from a boat.
