The Sannikov Land (1973)

Beginning of XX century. The exiled settler Aleksandr Ilyin persuades the gold miner Trifon Perfilyev, whose mine was depleted, to equip an expedition in search of Sannikov Land - the legendary warm land somewhere beyond the Arctic Circle. Perfilyev, in the hope that this land is rich in gold, agrees.
