For scenes in Bowfinger's movie, we see shooting with lots of fake blood and gore, a fake decapitated head with a bloody stump, and a scene where a man melts; his skin drips down his face and his arm falls off. (All of this is mild and comical.)

Younger kids may find a scene where Bowfinger and the others convince Jiff to cross both sides of a very busy freeway on foot as somewhat comically suspenseful, what with all the speeding cars passing within inches of him.

Some of the scenes in Bowfinger's movie are comically intense, including a screaming woman with a knife, and aliens.
