Brought before a court of law, a taciturn fourteen-year-old boy stands accused of trespassing on the property of the respectable district attorney, Christou. As the young offender refuses to speak--let alone defend himself--his guardian, the desperate single mother, Martha, appears in the nearly silent courtroom to stand up for him. However, what was her son's crime in the first place? Does someone so young deserve such a severe and cruel punishment?
