The Reception (1988)

Ten strangers and a cameraman are invited to a reception at an isolated mansion on the mysterious Frog Island. A videotape left for them by the absent host reveals that they have one thing in common: they have all served time in prison. A severe storm arrives and the guests are trapped for the duration. Then, a death occurs, and then another, and another...The mansion quickly becomes a prison in itself, with the ex-convicts reenacting some of the power dynamics that exist in the prison environment.
