Some discreetly implied sex scenes. A few scenes of kissing and some mild sexual references.

The violence in this movie is portrayed in a realistic manner. So while sometimes rather bloodless, it's quite graphic.

Very little violence, however there are two scenes which are very disturbing.

A man has a bruised and cut face/eye after being hit by a woman's ex husband offscreen.

A man has his finger cut by a lobster. A small amount of blood is seen.

A woman (<a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0000651/?ref_=ttpg_gi">Sissy Spacek</a>) backhands another woman (<a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0000673/?ref_=ttpg_gi">Marisa Tomei</a>) in the face.

A man is shot in the shoulder. We see blood spray and he falls to the ground. He then tries to crawl away and is shot twice more in the back, with more blood. This scene is very disturbing and difficult to watch, and whilst it isn't particularly graphic, it's very realistic and brutal.

Fuck is used about 8 times. Milder profanity like shit, bitch, ass, goddamn, etc. are used occasionally.

The movie is very emotionally intense and deals with some very heavy themes.

There are two brief scenes of disturbing violence that are difficult to watch. One contains a brief but very graphic image that will disturb some people, and the other is not very graphic, but is very realistic and brutal.

The ending can be upsetting and disturbing.
