Por qué ya no me quieres (1954)

Trying to hide her tarnished reputation due to a relationship with a gangster, Lilia moves to the big city and acquires a new identity as Rosaura. Her goal is to become a successful cabaret singer and she is lucky to find Raul, also a singer, who falls in love with her and introduces her to the famous composer Agustin Lara. Lara takes her under his wing and prepares her for a big debut singing with his big orchestra in a plush nightclub. However, the whole plan goes sour when suddenly the gangster shows up and blackmails Lilia, forcing her to elope with him.
