Solarman (1986)

Unsold animated TV pilot about an aspiring teenage comic book artist and passionate science fiction fan who receives an alien bracelet from a dying alien scientist that can turn him into a mighty flying superhero powered by solar energy, and he is the only one who can stop an evil cyborg-like galactic overlord from destroying the Sun - and therefore Earth.
