The Delights of Life (1974)

A writer sells a soap-opera script to an enigmatic TV-station tycoon, Mr. Y., and manages to to make his girlfriend Eva the female lead. But another actress, the cunning, beautiful Fernanda, influences Mr. Y. to gradually obtain more importance in the show, and Eva's role starts to shrink. The melodramatic series is about young woman in love with a poor writer, but her parents want her to marry the wealthy Adolf, son of a noble German family, to ascend socially and financially. They even lock her in her room so she won't go out and meet her true love. The soap-opera and real life are soon hopelessly mixed up.
