Out of the blue, the poor door-to-door salesman, Alekos Merjesolis, decides to visit the affluent Athenian industrialist, Aristos Merjesolis, having an announcement to make: the stranger, who shares the same surname with Aristos, claims that he is his stepson. Having already fallen in love with Sophie, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy factory owner, Alekos poses as Aristos' son to win her heart, unbeknownst to him that Aristos, too, has plans of his own. However, who is Sophie? What will happen when she finds out Alekos' lie?
