Patouchas (1972)

Raised in the rugged mountains of Turkish-occupied Crete, free-spirited herder Manolios, aka Patouchas, cares only about his flock of sheep. However, when Manolios reluctantly leaves his sheep pen to visit his father in the village, a chance encounter with the community's most beautiful girl leads to a whirlwind romance that defies logic. Now, love-smitten Manolios can't live without her. But can the young lovers' clandestine affair blossom behind the back of Manolios' strict, old-fashioned father and the Turks' oppression?
