We Are Getting Divorced (1968)

The eight-year-old son of a young married couple takes advantage of the parents' different and inconsistent parenting practices. At the end of a temporary separation, during which the son spends four weeks with his mother and four weeks with his father, the parents realize that only a joint upbringing will make the child a balanced person.
