A man in a war shoots a fellow soldier who is about to drown, in order to keep him from suffering.

A man is beaten bloody because of his race.

A woman asks a man to shoot her so she will not be taken by a group of Hindus desiring to kill due to her Muslim background. He does not shoot her, and negotiates with the people, who eventually leave without harming her.

Two men fight, and one is thrown over a railing into the path of a moving train, which runs over him. We see an overhead view of him lying dead on the tracks, everything below his waist under the train.

We see a train pull in with hundreds of dead people on the roof and hanging out of the windows.

A team of Sikhs attack a large group of Muslims, killing many women, children and men (the scene is very bloody). There is one instance where we see a dead woman with her crying baby still in her arms (her breast is exposed, implying the baby was nursing at the time of the attack.)

There is a scene where a train to India pulls in with all passengers slaughtered; they hang out the window, there are bodies strewn over the roof, etc. This is a very disturbing scene.
