Do Gulab (1983)

Heera comes from a Hindu family where-by several run-ins with a young Christian woman named Ruby leads to a romantic attraction. Ruby's parents, Steven and Stella objects to the lovers relationship thus arranging Ruby's marriage else where and at the same time throwing Heera behind bars. Heera's father, Bholanath comes to his rescue only to confined him to his room so as to prevent him from meeting with Ruby there by splitting up the lovers relationship.
