Marina Ralli, a talented singer, was meant to rise to stardom. Instead, after a brief collaboration, and a whirlwind romance, with the up-and-coming pianist, Alexis Mikelis, Marina found herself struggling for recognition. Now, Alexis is a famous pianist, married, and with a little daughter, whereas Marina is nowhere to be found, fading into oblivion, and battling with alcohol dependence. Will Alexis ever discover that he owes his success to his long-lost love?
