An elderly woman lives alone in her apartment, occasionally quarreling with her neighbor on the balcony. One day the heroine, unexpectedly for herself, buys a rooster - and becomes attached to him. And the rooster grows and grows, and already influences her life, forcing to reckon with her unlucky gentlemen, and the mistress herself.
