There is one scene emphasizing kissing, though in a horror context with lots of green slime.

The "blood" of the ghostly inhabitants of the town of Long Hand is a prominently featured green ooze; when anyone (or any object) in the town is damaged or "wounded," they bleed green.

This leads to many over the top images, such as a doorman vomiting copious amounts of this ooze before dissolving into a puddle himself, and the children slicing up walls and various objects in a room to test their ghostly nature.

The effects are VERY dated looking (even for the time of release) as the movie was very low budget.

While this movie comes in some Family Pack DVD bundles, it doesn't come across like a traditional "family movie."

The green ooze that pervades the town of Long Hand is used in the film to create an intangible feeling of paranoia, something like a fear of the dark; everyone and everything and every object could share the same ghostly nature.

There are also a few monstrous figures, like a book that grows spider legs, tentacles reaching out of the dark, or a bug-eyed, insect-like gunman.

However, the extremely dated effects will probably prevent anyone aside from very young children from being truly frightened by any of the images or ideas.
