We see two males drag a female (all older teens) into the woods against her protests and coerce/cajole her into sexual activity. Sex is not seen but is implied by the conversations and actions of two younger teens who see this, one of whom expresses a desire to watch more. The other is offended and makes clear this is unacceptable.

One character briefly lifts the skirt of another, exposing her thigh. This is done in an intimidating or threatening manner.

A woman playfully presses a man's hand to the floor with her high heel.

A teen is implied to engage in "necking."

A few references are sexual: talk about a young teen's "love line," asking if two characters slept together, describing a character as "no longer wet behind the ears." An adult is said to have been unfaithful.

There's no nudity. A woman's nipples are barely discernable through her slip for a few seconds, and a boy is briefly seen without a shirt.

One character points a gun at someone at close range and shoots.

A knife is brandished in a threatening way several times, including one event with sexual overtones and one where it is pressed against a character's stomach. A threat is made that the knife would be used to stab someone. An attack is made with the knife.

A character falls on a knife and is injured, but we don't see any blood.

A man pushes a woman away and she falls to the floor.

A man twists a young teen's ear painfully and kicks them in the butt. Milder conflicts include hair-pulling and rock throwing.

A car rams a horse, sending it and the rider flying, but we don't see or hear actual impact or anything gory.

In conversation, a teen relates that their mother would beat them for misbehaving. And a soldier describes to a young teen how to affix a bayonet and attack with it.

The only visible blood is a little bit briefly seen on a scratched knee.

Except for "bastard," said three times, there's nothing stronger than "blasted" and some name-calling: "skunk," "cow."

Several adult characters smoke cigarettes. These scenes are brief. Thomas buys a pack of cigarettes from a vending machine and implies he may smoke later in order to get kicked out of boarding school.

Men are seen at a bar. A main character becomes visibly drunk and obnoxious later.

Two characters visit a "house of horrors" at a fair. Sights of ghosts and skeletons, and some sounds, might frighten younger viewers.
