Basically none at all. Annie Sullivan briefly mentions her childhood growing up in an asylum with some prostitutes.

There are many scenes where Anne must physically restrain young, undisciplined Helen. Before the climax of the movie, young Helen throws dishes, scratches, hits, and throws fits.

Helen, the girl, is often unrestrained. She threatens a servant's child with scissors, overturns a baby's crib (with the baby inside), slaps people (such as her mother), and hit Anne once with a doll that she gave to Helen, (blood is shown on Anne's face from a broken tooth).
