The Opium War (1959)

Set in the middle of 19th century, in city of Guangzhou. The United Kingdom stretches her tentacles to China, the country of great antiquity. UK exports a lot of opium to the Qing Dynasty and takes away immense amount of treasure. The "resistance" and "accommodationist" groups take intense struggles in the court. The Emperor supports Lin Zexu's prohibition policy of opium and sends him to Guangzhou as a Imperial Commissioner for investigating and prohibiting opium problems.
