There is no actual sex or nudity in the movie, but there is a lot of talk of sex and innuendo - quite risqué for 1959, but tame by today's standards.

The male protagonist is a womaniser and he has many implied sexual encounters with women in his apartment, which is designed for that very reason. The female protagonist - who is portrayed as being prudish and uptight - refers to him as a "sex maniac".

In a car, a young man forcibly tries to embrace and kiss a woman even after she rejects his advances numerous times. He eventually stops when she threatens him with physical violence. This is played for comedy, though it is technically sexual harassment.

A man drags a woman out of bed and carries her out of her apartment and through the streets in her pyjamas and blanket. Bystanders are shocked, obviously thinking they have just had sex (though that is not the case).
