Kongeligt besøg (1954)

Historical drama that takes place in Jutland. Erik Balling has directed from a script written together with Palle Lauring. So there is a full check on the journey back to Denmark, to Jutland, to the year 1646, when a young man (Bjørn Watt-Boolsen) arrives to take over a farm he has inherited. But others are also after the farm - and the case must be fought for. Both regularly and with the help of cunning planning. He has Grethe Thordahl by his side, but it helps enormously that there is a royal visit. Christian IV, in the person of Johannes Meyer, finally gets things in order. An overlooked and beautiful piece of equipment.
