Jones gets drunk. One of the commandments is "Animals will not drink alcohol" which the pigs break.

A dead dog is seen early in the film and a dead cat at midpoint. Other animals are seen dead after battle scenes but the dead pets could be especially upsetting.

Farmer Jones constantly abuses the farm animals.

The overall content of the movie, especially in the second part, is extreamly bleak and sometimes shocking. However, the film is softened a bit by the oppressed animals, at the end of their patience at Napoleon's tyranny, taking their chances for something better by rising up and violently overthrowing the pigs.
